Fine Material Washer Working Principles - MEKA

Fine material washers, also frequently named dewatering screws are utilized to clean and dewater fine aggregates typically minus 10 mm to fine tune end products to meet specifications and to separate water soluble clay, silt, and micro sized fine particles.

Expert in fine aggregate cleaning

MEKA Fine Material Washers mainly consist of a washing/transport screw and a separation tank. In the separation tank, clay within the material is removed using hydraulic separation, while the screw conveyor dewaters the material for final discharge.

Lightweight and unwanted particles rise to the surface and are discharged through overflow weirs. These systems wash fine aggregates up to 10 mm in size and transfer the cleaned material to the next stage, separating it from water.

Dirty water is directed by adjustable weirs at the rear of the tank and drained via a discharge pipe.

Compared to competitors, MEKA Fine Material Washers offer a robust and heavy-duty body structure, effective fine material classification, low maintenance costs, and extended service life.

How Does Fine Material Washers Work?
Screw provides agitation motion which propel the settled heavier material upwards while the finer light material move back with the water.
Advantages of Using Fine Material Washers
- Accepts sizes up to 10 mm
- Successful sand cleaning with less water
- Great Achievement in dewatering
- Low operation and investment costs
