Istanbul 3rd Airport project, which will be the biggest airport in the world with 150 million/year passenger capacity, is almost finished and is planned to be put to operation by the end of 2018. Istanbul 3rd Airport project is one of Turkey's megaprojects and is one of the largest project activities in recent years. A consortium of the biggest Turkish construction companies Cengiz, Kolin, Limak, Mapa and Kalyon - under the name of IGA (Istanbul Grand Airport) won the contract to build the airport in 2013.
This mega project includes construction of 16 taxiway, 6.5 million square meter apron with 500 airline park capacity, VIP lounge, cargo and general aviation terminal, 165 passenger bridges, 4 separate terminal buildings with rail system for transportation between terminals, 3 technical blocks and air traffic control towers, 8 control towers, and 6 independent tracks suitable for all types of aircrafts. The project will also include a state guest house, 70,000-capacity indoor and outdoor parking, aviation medical center, hotels, fire brigade, and garage center.
In this important project, 7 MEKA were chosen. All the (over 4,500,000 m³) has been poured from 7 MEKA batch plants with overall capacity exceeding 1,265 m³/h! Two high capacity 2x250 m³/h with two 5.0 m³ mixers, two 2x180 m³/h and three 3x135 m³/h batch plants for special Apronhas been working at their maximum potential to finish the project on time. These machines were specially designed for airfield applications with exceptional MEKA craftsmanship and are equipped with independent aggregate weighing bins, PLC add-on modules to increase weighing accuracy and powerful 5.0 mixers. MEKA once again proved its superiority and continues to work on Research&Development.
MEKA contributes to Georgia's hydroelectric developments by providing the M100 mobile concrete batching plant for two major power plant projects in the Guria region. With a production capacity of 100 m³ per hour and durable features designed for challenging environments, MEKA ensures efficient concrete production, reinforcing its commitment to excellence in global infrastructure projects.
MoreThe Tunisian company, one of the largest contracting companies in the country, which will realize the important highway project in Tunisia, did not want to take risks in this critical project and preferred MEKA MB-100W batching plant.
MoreThe Mexican aggregate production industry is evolving faster than ever. The increasing demand for roads, housing and infrastructure in the country creates a need to produce more and more raw materials at competitive prices with minimal environmental impact. The constant and consistent supply of quality aggregates is one of the industry’s prime challenges.
MoreIn our 250 t/h capacity plant, which we established in Bou Saâda, Algeria, superior performance and efficiency have been achieved.
