Heidelberg Cement which has been operating in the Georgian market since 2006, continues by increasing its investments. Heildelberg Cement, operating in Georgia since 2006, continues with its investments also in Batum, following Tbilisi. The opening ceremony of the new facility in Batum, where a 100m³/hr capacity has been deployed, has been held in February.
The Heidelberg company, which has first met with Meka in 2011 and has deployed a Meka mobile plant in the Rustavi region of Tbilisi, has once more preferred Meka in the new facility it has taken into operation in the recent months. The opening of the mobile batch plant, with a production capacity of 100m³ per hour and easy transportability with pre feeding system, has been made by Andreas Kern, Board of Directors Member of the Heidelberg Cement Group, and the Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustained Growth, Giorgi Kvirikashvili. The reason behind this investment by the company is the revival of the construction sector in the Ajara region and the increased demand in parallel.
