MEKA SCREENING PLANT FOR ZINC REFINERY AND SMELTER PLANT IN SİİRT, TURKEY

MEKA is proud to be a part of one of the most important and prestigious mining projects in Turkey. Our growing reputation for quality and reliability has resulted in an order for the supply of a  Zinc-Lead ore  and screening plant, which was successfully brought into operation at the end of 2021.

LİNEER METAL started the construction of a 90000 tons per year greenfield zinc smelter at Siirt. Spread over 200 acres, the facility will entail an investment of 500 million USD in phases, create more than 3000 direct and indirect jobs, and will be operational by 2022. The plant will substantially increase employment and thereby boost the economy in the region. The new facility will be a model plant - incorporating the latest technology, automation, and the highest standards of environment and health safety compliance. Zinc and lead ores are mined in key mining sites of Hakkari, Siirt, Şırnak, and smelting and refining of zinc-lead and other minor metals at processing operation at Siirt Industrial Zone.

Plant Design Criteria

• Material to be processed is Zn-Pb Ore with a solid density of 3.4 tons/m³

• Feed material size : 0-600 mm 

• 1 grade of the product is produced, 0-10mm 

• The hourly production of the required product is 100 metric tons/hour. 

        • Number of working hours: 8 hours per shift, 3 shifts per day, 360 days per year
