MEKA’S PRESENCE IN REPUBLIC OF BELARUS

The Belarus Republic plans to build 4 hydro-electric power plants: Polotskaya, Vitebskaya, Beshenkovicheskaya and Verhnedvinskaya within the scope of the energy safety policy that it aims to achieve until 2020. Total electricity generated by the HPP’s that will be built is planned to be around 125-130 MW.

5 turbines will be installed at the Polotskaya HPP and the total power of the turbines is calculated as 21.75 MW. Meanwhile, 111.4 million kWh of electricity planned to be generated annually will meet the electricity requirement of Polotsky Rayon. The related project will also ensure fuel savings equivalent to 35,000 tons of oil in the region where it will be built. The project where construction has started in 2011 is planned to be completed by 2015.

The plant that will meet the requirement of the site bears the signature of MEKA. A MEKA  with the winter option is capable of producing high-class and quality  even under the most challenging climate conditions.
