MEKA Contributes to Georgia's Hydroelectric Developments

In recent years, the number of major construction projects in Georgia has increased significantly. Thanks to its geographical advantages, the country benefits greatly from its natural energy resources. Hydroelectric power stations play an important role in meeting Georgia's growing demand for energy. With over 70 hydroelectric power stations already in operation and many more planned, the sector is experiencing dynamic growth.

In 2023, two major power plant projects were launched in the Guria region of western Georgia. These facilities, with capacities of 9 MW and 11 MW respectively, are scheduled for completion by the end of 2025. These projects were entrusted to a construction company renowned for its expertise in the field - and this company once again chose MEKA.

The MEKA M100 mobile concrete batching plant was chosen to meet the concrete needs of these major projects. With a production capacity of 100 m³ per hour and capable of producing 2.25 m³ of fresh concrete in each mix, the 100M model can fill a 9 m³ transit mixer in just four batches. Hot-dip galvanised components, particularly the weighing unit, ensure that this model operates comfortably even in difficult environments such as forests. What's more, the plant features an aggregate pre-feeding system that eliminates the need for a ramp, making it possible to work in compact spaces. The interior walls of the mixer are lined with highly wear-resistant NiHard material, ensuring long-lasting performance and minimal maintenance.

Being involved in such important projects in Georgia and around the world reinforces our commitment to excellence. As an official R&D centre, MEKA continues to develop and deliver the best solutions to its customers.
