MEKA ESTABLISHED A NEW C30 CONCRETE PLANT FOR ZINC AND LEAD MINE IN NORTH MACEDONIA

Meka Engineers installed a new C30 Compact Concrete Plant for a zinc and lead mine in North Macedonia. This mine is the largest underground operating mine in the Republic of North Macedonia. It is located approximately 150 km east of the capital Skopje and 12 km north of Makedonska Kamenica.

 

Our customer; One of the largest mining companies in North Macedonia, part of international metal companies based in London UK; They preferred Meka quality for their needs in their mines. The C30 Compact Concrete Plant established in this mine has a Concrete Production capacity of 30 m³/hour. In this facility, there is a 0.5 m³ Meka Single Shaft mixer that can easily produce all kinds of concrete. There are 4 x 7 m³ cross-type aggregate hoppers and collapsible top covers to protect the aggregates from environmental effects. Meka also installed 2 microwave-type moisture probes for the 2 sand chambers to control the moisture content in the sand.

 

The C30 Compact Concrete Batching Plant is equipped with a skip-lift aggregate bucket to use the mine site more efficiently and to make the plant more compact. There is a 75 ton bolted type cement silo and equipment in the facility. The facility has an advanced Meka Software system created by Meka's own software engineers and a SIEMENS PLC-based Fully Automatic Control System.
